Article: Why Do You Pay Tax

Book Summary by: punitha

Original Author: Punitha
India is proud to be an largest democratic and secular nation. It is very true that the constitution of this nation is very
realistic based. There are umpteen rules framed in the constitution to serve this huge nation in a better manner. It is very unfortunate that a huge gap between existence of law and understanding among its citizens. The representatives have taken the role of rulers rather than meeting the people's demands they are interested in satisfying their own needs. Politics has moved from social service to society business. Any project undertaken does not get completed and it's cost keeps escalting each year forcing citizens to cough up a huge taxes in all forms.for example there is no price control measures prevailing in the nation. The manufacturing cost of cola is around Rs 1-50 but it is sold at a rate of Rs 10-00. Such is the height of levying taxes. The infrastructure development takes place over years. More than the amount spent on projects is spent on the enquires forming commissions where no one gets punishment. Neither has it stopped corruption nor the draining of borrowed money. there is a need for every citizen to know how is government is spending their money. Will generations put a check on this has to be seen?
