Earning on Earth, sending mission tp Mars, Is Math
indispensable?
Can dreams be calculated? Can dreams be measured? Can
dreams be added or subtracted? But they do get
translated
into reality. We work on dreams, evolve fantasies. Our
fantasies drive our action, activity or our needs
regulate
us to work or eat, play or for any activity. Where is
the
Mathematics into this?
Pleasure and happiness are not measurable. No counting
or
standards can be ascribed to these nouns. Similarly
earning
bread for living has direct relationship with work.
Math
became relevant after literacy. Values were given
according
to quantity and quality of work.
But the need for work arose from gut level, physical
being,
directed by signals generated inside the human
being.Maths
seem irrelevant at this stage.
Our physiological and psychological needs can not be
measured. No mathematical values can be used to define
them. But these needs do regulate our behavior- to do
an
activity or not to do.
Mathematics for all subjective matters and issues is an
irritant. It limits, caps the process.
Can the water in the Sea be measured? Can weight of
mountain be worked out ? Can mother’s love for her
child be
quantified?
For one person, who is an honest and skillful- one pays
handful of currency and other person avails his
services
for nothing tangible and expresses thanks only, or the
third person facilitates him with handsome salary. Is
it
possible to give a mathematical expression to honesty
and
ability or skills of this person?
It will be limiting the factor. No values can be
ascribed
for traits.
This figure oriented expression is for them who lack
wisdom, sense of perception, feelings, realization and
emotions.
Mathematics is for the ones who do not understand
natural
mechanisms. Nature existed before Maths.Mechanisms
existed
before Maths.Human being tried to make it
understandable
using Gamma or Beta or Theta.
It has been used for analyzing, interpreting the
knowledge,
nature, cause and effect of nature, to understand
mechanisms. It is simply a Tool and tool is dispensable.
Alternatives will be found by man.
So long as it will be found useful, it shall be
utilized.
It will continue to be amended, sharpened, and it is
also
possible that science of hunches, feelings, whims,
fancies
will govern and as such it guides, directs and
regulates us
all.
How a Tool can become indispensable?
