My late girlfriend lent it to me. At first her discription of it kept me from even looking at the cover. But I'm a very open-minded person, so eventually ... I caved. I picked the book up and began to read what would change my life for ever in every aspect. The book is
called "Many Lives, Many Masters" written and
experienced by
Brian L. Weiss, a prominent phyciatrist and hypnotist.
The book tells about this phyciatrist who deals with a
young woman
patient coping with a lot of stress and issues in her life. She reluctantly comes to him (Brian) who would spend nearly the next 2 years unfolding the complications of this troubled young woman. He uses a series of hypnosis techniques to help her find what is creating the problems in her mind, which are manifesting in her everyday reality.
After a few months of little success, he decides to do something a little deeper. Brian does whats called Past-Life Regression on the young patient. Now you may or may not have heard of this before but it is a very real hypnosis procedure where the patient is brought through past-life experiences. Seeing this life through her subconcious mind. Believe it or not but know this, there have been
THOUSANDS of documented
Past life regressions. You can even buy tapes or books online or in certain stores to regress yourself.
To get back to the story, he then over the course of several months unveils
eighty-six unbelievable lives. Some obviously more compelling than others, and some of which not much is discovered. But as much as I was astounded by this, there was more. Everytime that Brian would fast forward her to her death in each life, she would see herself floating above her body. After that all she could see is bright colorful lights, and then..... the tone of her voice would change as a knowledgeable being called a "Master" would speak through her to Brian.
Many questions were asked by Brian to these higher beings, and then some were not. But after reading this book and taking in everything that the masters had said made more sense to me than any religion or theory I had squashed together myself. Even if you believe in God, this book still leaves the idea of him wide open. I have done more research than you can possibly imagine since reading that book, and now have come to the conclusion that thousands of people have discovered this knowledge. Books upon books have been written from average joes to PHD's who all confirm this other life and what this life is all about. I guarentee, if you read this book, no matter what religion, you will come away feeling great about life and great about death and no longer will stare up at the stars and feel so helpless.
