Eric Dyson casted Dr. Crosby`s remarks as riveting. Famed personalities on the subject of African American History such as Dr. Charles V. Hamilton and the then Stokely Carmichael illuminated the notion that society in the United States of America still suffers from pervasive Institutional Racism that still shackles African Americans in their surge toward a higher standard of living in this acclaimed work called Black Power. Although some individuals successfully scale the hurdles impeding their full fledge membership in American Society too many of these obstacles remain to high to conquer. Several formulas could serve as tools in obtaining the promises enshrined in those eloquently conceived documents that purport to provide liberty, justice, and fraternity for all citizens in the United States. One means that vividly illustrate superb results in this direction comes along with the creation of mentoring
programs. In addition, the utilization of pro-active methods such as tutoring programs could cement solid strategies within the African American
Community that could serve as a bridge to success for many of her participants. Scaling the walls of success for African Americans must come in the form of multiple approaches from the social, professional, and religious elements of the community that can imbue the notion of assisting their fellow citizens to more easily excel in the vagaries that confront each person in society.
