Tragedy of vested interest and the most denied is Justice-
may it be Reservation or Encroachment.
Government,
Politicians, and all other who all are
promoting for the cause of Reservations in Education or
Jobs or the ones who are against are emitting
poision.They
are polluting environment, disturbing harmony,
creating
caste and community passions.
The sacred reason, i.e. well being of deprived seem to
have
been lost or was not there –either at the time of
introducing this philosophy of reservations or was
manipulated for political motives.
Many have asked to publish complete data of upliftment
of
deprived sections that have been benefited by these
provisions all over, so that an analysis can be
developed
for next course of action.
The most sinful act, seem to be dividing the society on
one
or the other pretexts. And every effort should be made
to
ensure that-this does not happen. There are thousands
of
reasons or vested interests varying from individual to
masses. And it is not unusual, seeing people united for
their individual or common cause.Ultimately, some good
happens for the individuals or masses or communities,
Politicians tend to gain votes or popularity at
whatever
cost.
The most painful is Government of India is not giving
information on what is the result of reservation till
date.
A sweeping statement, that for centuries or thousands
of
years, communities have been deprived, is not enough.
Let
us adjudge objectively- what is the outcome of this
policy
adopted for 50 years. And if it has helped, then what
is
the extent. If not, how can this happen? Let public at
large also ponder over this issue.
Why not intellectuals also contribute by sharing their
point of view. Media is mostly selective in raking up
the
issues and is dominated by Journalists whose exposure
is
limited. The more they will travel to interiors of
Urban
and rural India. More they will see the condition of
schools and colleges of cities and villages-they will
understand the tragedy of deprived people, not only
because
of caste, creed, color or race, or economic status. And
they
will be able to grasp as to how Governments in a row
have
not been judicious to the cause of even primary
education
and orientation. And how hollow are the claims being
made
now, for their upliftment by talking, and providing for
reservations.50 years is not a small period to adjudge
the
sincerity of Politicians and the System. Whatever
little
has been done, could have been much more. Sincerity to
the
objective and cause is a big question mark.
I am sure students, Medicos and all who are feeling
concerned for their personal cause, shall also be able
to
see beyond, once they understand the inner story of
less
fortunate people and their children. But surely the
issue
is -Primary education and allocation of adequate
resources
for building up infrastructure at grass root level.
Priorities need to be reassessed and allocations
accordingly. Stop playing off with sentiments, we are
enough selfish and do not need to be pampered with this
quota or that quota. Give us equal opportunity for
growth
at basic schools level.
