Demand and supply of manpower

Article Summary by: ashwani

Original Author: ashwani
Labour Pains ,title of Times of India editorial caught my
attention and made me to read through -China`s manpower

crunch-a sign of maturity.
I was trying to understand as to how crunch can be a
sign
of maturity, may it be any thing.
But after going through, a different phenomenon was
understood. The plight of labour force will improve now
in
China.Improvement is maturity.
Demand and supply is determining the health of economy.
Strange is economics.Plight of manpower depends on its
availability and if that is available in plenty, the
wages
will go down and if in shortage wage level will shot up.
Production of goods in plenty leads to competitiveness,
price gets regulated. Same is true for manpower and
other
factors of production. But this will always remain
happening .The fate will vary according to demand and
supply.
Labour intensive production will involve large
force,rural
labour, sons of rural India will join mass producing
units
as happened in China. Agriculture will get a status of
Industry. Large houses and multinationals will jump in
agriculture field.Is this scene imagineable ? 70
percent of
India who depend on agriculture ways will find its ways
to
give away their enterprising temperament at costs which
will bring them comforts and luxuries for which they
live
for ? Of coursem, a long way to go.But process is
same.Gurgaon where many multinationals are setting
up,property rates have shot up,farmers have abandoned
farming. They prefer selling their land for commercial
usage.Multinationals are paying hefty amounts for
services
in call centres.Farmers are turning their sons to urban
townships to learn English to be able to get employment
in
call centre.Although not many stay in call centre, but
ambitions grow manifold .Much to ponder over.It is just
a
touch at an issue which seems like an Onion.
