AVOID JOB CUT
R.G. Iyer
Present trend in job cut
There’s a new trend to reduce jobs to increase profitability. However, the basic principle of human resource concept is ignored. For consistent growth rate, employees play a pivotal role.
Consequence
Thousands of people are rendered all over the world. This problem is very serious in case of developing countries like India. If jobs are cut, how employed will feed their family? Is it fair on the part of corporate sector to reduce employment opportunities when unemployment problem is continuously increasing?
Solution
It is prudent to reduce other overheads instead of reducing work force. We need to fulfill the basic needs of employees and ensure that optimum satisfaction will be made possible.
Positive results
By increasing employment opportunities, productivity can be increased and over all smooth industrial relationship can be maintained.
