I once read a quote from Theodore Roosevelt that stated that a man without a university education, would be more subject to steal a freight car from a railroad but a man with a university education would steal the whole railroad. Does your level of education control the extent of your success or how you interrupt success? Did Robin Hood have a university education, when he stole from the rich and gave to the poor? In Today's time does Shawn Carter (Jay Z ) have a university education, to run his own clothing line, act as CEO of a major record company, be part owner of a basketball team or to own his own clubs around the city? I am sure there are many individuals that went to school to do just what he is doing but I honestly think it has allot more to do with your birth right and what God truly has in store for you.
Your spiritual inheritance, the day Jay Z was born a plan was made for his life. I think with his natural God given ability, an eye for business and a knack for hustle Jay Z was able to succeed. I think his smarts, that weren't university oriented but skills that were imbedded within him naturally, give him the ability to succeed in a business that originally most thought you needed a degree to succeed in.
I think it is all about digging within yourself and discovering your true abilities and gifts. I however think going as far as you can with your education is fabulous. I agree with that quote in part but not totally. I do agree with the need of education bit education comes in many forms, not just the university. You could hear something someone says and it may have a greater impact on your life than a literature class that you may pay two thousand dollars for a semester, and what that person said to you was free.
I conclusion although many people attribute schooling to their success, there are also some people who have no or very little schooling but are as equally successful. I attribute school to some of my success but I think more of it comes from networking and nurturing my God given talents.
