Silence so intense that it hurts

First, comes a cold detached curiosity
concerning one’s fate
Then, come strategies to preserve

Though the sky tends to
scroll in blood
mocking at the least chances of being
alive
Slowly, comes to rescue
Human
endurance
Opening vistas of hope &
Healing for the
souls in despair
Hunger, humiliation, deep anger at
injustice
All are rendered tolerable-
By closely
guarded images
Of Beloved persons,
By
religion,
By grim sense of humor,
Even by healing
beauties of nature-
A tree or a sunset
Somewhere,
from the realms of slumber
Comes a resurrected soul from
its tomb,
A watery sun shining through rain
clouds
Light that is reborn within the source of
light.
