OLD AGE BLUES

Book Summary by: soham

Original Author: self
Wear & Tear makes any machine lose its looks & charm. So is the case with our body. But then many think that one’s
interest in looking good declines with the advancement of age. This is not true. In the past generally people used to compromise with the situation considering that ageing is a natural process & accept the situation as they didn’t have any means of improving their looks . But in today’s world one need not compromise on this. Thru’ botax & collagen injections one can restore youthful looks. By using implants shoulders, thighs & hips can be repositioned. The feet which otherwise look like a cover of skin over the bones can be made shapely. Breast lifting & facelifting methods can be used to make the breasts erect & face more tidy.
Lastly one piece of advice…. Instead of indulging in self pity it is better to look for a suitable treatment which is available to improve the gait & looks so that even in old age one can carry himself with self esteem & pride in the society. In the contemporary world it is apt to adopt a suitable method of anti -ageing procedure to avoid social ridicule. But then anything overdone is harmful with adverse results. If one is not happy with his looks inspite of getting all available treatments , the fault lies with the mind & not the body. To such people I can only tell “Beauty is skindeep” & it’s impact is only temporary. After a while it is only the values you uphold which will determine your personality and not the looks alone. The respect for an individual is therefore not entirely dependant on his looks but on the strength of his character.
Lastly we should understand that the best way to get over the problem lies in accepting yourself for whatever you are which automatically make you love yourself. Such an attitude will certainly reflect in pleasant physical appearence to others & give you more self confidence rather than self pity.
