Haven't you ever wished that if only there is a
magical word that you can say and makes things happen or
disappear? I am
sure that you had. We all know, from
magical shows which we have seen in our childhood, the words Avada Kedavra / abracadabra. Even J.K.Rowling uses it in her books about Harry Potter. The Origin is from Aramaic: One says the meaning is constructed from initials of AB (Father), BEN (Son) and RUACH€ADASCH (Holy Spirit). The other claims to be '
disappear as you say it', 'gone like this word' But both are used to cure illnesses, an antidote against various physical ills. There was a famous Roman Doctor who used it to cure fever. He wrote down the sentence 11 times and omitted the last letter each time. After 9 day in which the paper was wrapped around the patient's neck, it is thrown away. This technique doesn't cure but gives time to the disease to pass away from its own. Luckily it also doesn't harm.
