"Only if I had little more money, I would have more _(fun)_". I'm sure this has passed you mind as it has passed in mine.
A study which lasted 30 years and containing data like age, health, gender, race, education, shows that that
money does not buy (much) happiness. The survey, measuring the quality of the daily life, reveals that those who have
more money , higher incomes, are
more tense and
more stressed .
People who has annual income of 100,000$ spend 32% of their time in bad mood and 19.9% in leisure and fun, whereas people with 20,000$ annual income has more fulfilling life. They spend 34% in fun activity and only 12% time in worries and bad mood.
People who got rich are happy for short term because of their human nature:
• They have new friends who are richer than him. Meaning they have to get more money. "Men do not desire merely to be rich, but to be richer than other men." philosopher John Stuart Mill.
• They get use to the new situation quickly.
• Simply because they have to find new ways to invest the money to create more money.
" Happy is harder than money. Anyone who thinks money will make them happy, doesn't have money " by David Geffen, and I say according to this study '
even those who have money
think more money will make them happy.'
