the Source of the game is in games of miniatures and from war games. the Inventor the game, irritable Gigks, American insurance
agent, he was a lover of miniatures and was playing with his friends is celestial war with miniatures which include: monsters, magicians and knights. In order to change the game from a war game to a more interesting game, Gigks invented a war game that was called chainmail, that destined to expand the game worlds. This game was a classic war game in which the players used miniatures of tin, but in the manual there was a chapter dedicated to "The War Champions" the senior commanders of the armies in the fantasy worlds and they had special qualities and many designated laws to the them.
Essence of the idea that it's possible to play one image instead of complete army, attracted Gigks attention , and he started to develop game that allow the players to receive one character (and not complete army), and virtualy to receive the qualities of the image, personality, forces of fighting, history and contacts to the other people. So Gigks changed the game that from a war to a roll playing game, the game got the name dungeons and dragons, and in it every player gets a character. With the years, the miniatures exited from the game, in spite of that nowadays some players still is use them in the course of the game. the dungeon keeper is the one that describes the world the storyline and whats going on to the players. The dungeon kepper is responsible on the world and provides the players with different adventures.
in the world the players discover ddifferent characters which being described by the dungeon keeper.
The game of occurence in a dungeon (from here the name dungeons and dragons) in which the player kill monster, find treasures, neutralization of trapps and more. With the time, people started to wonder and to doubt concerning essence of the game and started to ask questions such as "can my character be more then a walking meat grinder" Or " is there something beyond this endless dungeon ?". and Quickly started to develop rules to the game that werent within a dungeon .
