Self Destiny

Book Summary   by:ewizz     Original Author: Sandip Guha
ª

Self-effort has the Power to create Destiny. Words are thoughts expressed. Thoughts are forces through self-effort. Thoughts are the ink in the pen with which we write our destiny. Energy follows thought. Once we have a thought then the energy of self-effort follows it. Destiny and fats are not the things that are imposed on us from without. We are the makers of our destiny, builders of our own fate, our own Kismet Thoughts consistently held in mind drive us to an action, and action when repeated forms habits. Habit is, ‘Have a bit every day and becomes a habit’. It is the sum total of habit that shapes our character, and it is our character that determines our destiny. So we should be careful in forming our habits. If we have some wrong habits, it is difficult to change but not impossible. Our intellect which is the discriminating faculty, chooses good from bad, generally remains overshadowed by our emotions, well this is the time when we need to check it consciously. It is same with our minds too. Of course it will rebel at first. It does not want to be retrained. But now we are in control of our thoughts and when we stay firm and focused in a very short time the new way of thinking will be established. The first step towards creating our destiny is taken when we refuse to be a captive of the environment in which we find ourselves. If the world does not make sense from where we stand then we must move. Make our environment just what we want it to be, and get or be beyond your wildest dreams. Generally we are in a habit of postponing thing for tomorrow. But tomorrow never comes, we should live in today. Today well lived is happiness. Today’s self-effort is tomorrow’s destiny. To-day is the tomorrow of yesterday. The past is History, the future is mystery, today is the only reality. Present is the only time to live that is why present has been given to us(Human being) as a PRESENT. About our past we can not do anything but we can change our destiny by changing our thought pattern. No matter where we have come from or how low it was, we can totally change our lives for the better by positive thoughts. It is only a thought and a thought can be changed, we create every scalded illness in our body. Resentment, Criticism and guilt are the most damage patterns. Releasing resentment will dissolve even cancer, we must release the past and forgive everyone. We must be willing to begin to learn to love ourselves.
Self-approval and Self-acceptance in present are the keys to positive changes. When we really love ourselves, everything in our life works. What we think about ourselves becomes the truth for us. Training the Mind:- In order to top the tremendous reservoir of thought power within us, dormant and under-employed the first step in this technique is by, Training of our Powers of Observation. Guamtam Buddha used and recommended this method for training the mind of his disciples. He would walk among his students while lecturing them, then suddenly stop and ask: “what was my right hand doing when I spoke to you to you of meditation? Thus he taught his followers, attentiveness and trained their powers of observation. For this here are three easy exercises designed to train our mind and harness it to our will. They are very simple exercises, so simple that some of us may wonder how can these silly exercises help me in training something so powerful as my mind? But do not under-rate them. They are designed to help learn to take hold of a thought, to make our minds into a Mental Magnet. Each exercises takes just a few seconds. Practice them at least once a day from now on :- When you enter any room for the first time, take a good look all around, close your eyes for a second and try to recall exactly what all is there. Do this whenever you go. After ascending or descending a flight of steps try and recall how many steps were there. Every night in the bed before sleeping try to remember what did you do during the whole day. Alll the minutest details like what did you eat in breakfast, what did you do after that who spoke to you on intercom, who all called on telephone in the whole day etc, etc. Do not let the obvious simplicity of these tried and proven exercises feel you. Do them regularly, religiously every day and they will provide you with the essential preliminary training of mind.
