Dying to self
I cried to the Lord,
in the midst of my pain.
This
life's too hard, I can't remain.
Though suicide was not a choice,
I just needed to vent my voice.
Send me to heaven, just take me there.
You have my
life, if you should dare.
I did not know, that giving in,
would cleanse my
soul from all my sin.
I turned it over to Jesus Christ,
he took control, he took my life.
He shaped it, cleansed it, made it new.
Who is this Christ, the risen Jew?
The Lamb of God, the Great I AM,
Messiah, Lord and Son of Man.
He set me free, I feel so great.
I don't know why a soul would wait.
He's always there, I'll testify,
Because he heard my painful cry.
