certified company. What does it mean?
ISO stands for International Organisation for Standardization. When any claims that he is certified ISO 9001:2000 company, it means he is
following its predefined documented procedure for their critical operations. Never estimate that if a company is ISO certified , that he is giving you a
quality product. It means only is that – this company following the processes which are documented and implemented. ISO 9001:2000 certified company ensures us that it is following a quality
management system which is actually
customer oriented system. So when a company follows the system, it means they are giving you the best customer satisfied product or services.
ISO is an international organisation which set the standards for everything and ISO 9001:2000 system is developed by its Technical committee –174 TC. It
revised after five years. Earlier it was ISO 9001:1994 and its revised edition is ISO 9001:2000. This standard is actually based on eight quality management principle which is internationally accepted. The entire system is focussed to customer and their satisfaction is the prime objective of any company.
So, when you heard about an ISO certified company, remember the above things.
