We must learn that God watches us all. We always need someone to manage us, an overall authority to make us feel we live under His care and concern.
The presence of a Superior is essential to keep us all in our proper places. God alone is well fitted for this role. His strength is too large to be measured, and his generosity is beyond our understanding. Ever since man started thinking, he has been trying to solve the mystery of
creation. But none has succeeded so far, none will ever succeed.
As night follows day, God has arranged his creation in such a way that each one of us have our share of
pain and
pleasure. Let us not forget and lose ourselves in worldly affairs in the
days of our comfort but remember the days ahead and prepare for misfortune also.
By alternating pleasure with pain, God rewards us for good deeds and punishes us for bad ones. This makes us realize that if we want to be happy in life, we should do good and keep away from evil.
When difficulties have been too much with us and when even our friends and relatives have left us, it is the One God who comes to our rescue. Our miseries will melt away like mist. We ourselves do not know how the miracles take place. But these do happen. Everyone of us has had these experiences. All that is needed is to have steadfast faith in the Supreme Power.
God is one. He is ever changeless and formless. We are his minors. If we are straight and pure, God is also reflected in us as such. But if we are crooked and vile, His image suffers the same distortion. It behooves us, therefore, always to remain clean and pure in every respect.
