My name is Nadia van de Ven, I am an actress and producer. I started my own production company : Sogni Productions.
We are currently producing "1953", a screen adaptation of the play from the award winning writer, Craig Raine. I am very proud of this project.
Ralph Fiennes is considering one of the lead roles. Cate Blanchett and Richard Loncraine are also reading the script.
Loncraine did "Richard III" so he knows exactly what to do with this type of script.
- Could you tells us how you got to where you are now ?
I ve acting for some years now and it's going great, but last year I started to itch... I wanted to be a little more in control over my career and I started producing theatre, then DVD and now feature films. It's a nice evolution.
- How do you judge your or your productions?
I work around the clock, the people at Sogni Productions and I are extremely dedicated and have an endless bucket of ideas.
My aim is to produce the highest quality films that entertain and promote honorable messages.
- Do you have pprojects ?
Absolutely ! As a production company, we have feature films and Tv projects. We re very excited. They all have a great message and, personally, I can't wait to show them to you.
- How to start ?
I started with theatre, a play by rebecca Mor, "A Perfect Life". It was the perfect way to start producing.
- what were your motivations ?
I have trillions of ideas and I m not the type to wait for "someone" to do something about it. I like to initiate, create and organize.
- Did anyone help you ?
Yes, I have plenty of people that are helping me, by believing me, giving me a hand when needed, supporting my ideas... No one makes it alone, we all need help and each other.
- A good memory ?
When craig Raine gave me the "ok" to produce the film adaptation of his play "1953".
- A bad memory ?
Nothing so far.
- Any Advice ?
All I can say is, intention is cause. If you have an idea, go for it ! You can overcome any obstacle if you truly believe in what you do.
- Are you optimistic ? if yes, why ?
I am very optimistic. Why ? There's no way to happiness, happiness is the way.
