Using treering chronologies of width, maximum and minimum desity for Huashan P ine from Huashan, Shaanxi, and the treegrowth
model, the response of tree radi al growth to
climate factors (e.g., air temperature and precipitation) was studi ed. The results show that
various growth indices can be confirmed by each other, which indicates that treering indices are reliable proxy data for climate cha nge sutdy. This emphasizes that it is necessary to use various treering data t o perform study and provides a solid basis for climate reconstruction.
