Ron Arad!!! Up to date, Ron Arad is 48 years old!!! Attached is Ron Arad's last
letter to his family before the last connection to him was lost completely. Ron Arad must be an essential condition in the negotiations, after that there will not be any more opportunities. for Ron, read the prayer at the end of his letter and forward the letter to as many recipients as possible so that in these days too and especially these days we will not forget Ron that went out to defend the state of Israel and is yet to return ... we do not forget Ron Arad.. Jew…Israeli…soldier..brother -- today Sunday (our Rosh-Hashana, I think) 27/9/87 I must say that I'm longing to see you (a long time has past, a year right?) sometimes I dream of you but make an effort not to think too much during the day, so I won't be to depressed. Usually my health is good and I feel good, they behave and treat me well. My arm is slowly improving, but will be all right the day I return to full activity (if god and the leaders will desire so, the blessing of god and the good will of the leaders). I pray for that many hours every day and I hope you do the same. I know it is a difficult thing to ask for but try doing everything for me. I don't know how but please say something up there, to our leaders, the government, to anyone how can do something to get me out of here. Do your best because Lebanon is no place to be at, and because I really want to see you all, for a person shouldn't be held it captivity when there are other options. With hope and good will, anything can happen. Act as though there is no time, you must talk. We (the captives on both sides) our lives are in your hands and we put our trust upon you. I have to tell you Tami, that now I understand your want to help prisoners (not only war prisoners), an issue we spoke of often. You can do something for the prisoners of this organization, to help them pass the time and live a bit better (a
little bit more food, a prayer book any thing you can do is something!) you can not imagine how every little thing is of significance for a lonely and distant person. the most important things I wanted to write to you-all I have written already, all-in-all I'm fine and usually feel well, I'm treated well, I have to ask you to build our house (the new one), keep on raising our little girl as well as you can (you can do it, I hope to see you all soon) just look back and see that a year has past and very little has been done, make an effort to do more for the benefit us all. I know that it is difficult but tell someone that we must breach the hate barriers, the fear, the lacking with caring, love and mercy... by that all will seem different. That god will help us see each-other very soon in this new year. Soon it will be Yom-Kipur, and I pray together with you that god will bless us all. Let's hope that he will help the leaders decide the right decisions. I hope you are taking care of your self and all the rest to. Don't give up there will be other days. I try not to give-up as much as I can, I hold my breath and cross my fingers.
