For quite a long time,
corruption has berthed in the harbours of our great countries and like a fast spreading epidemic disease,it
has spread through every thread and fabric of our society. In countries society, people ang quick to pass judgement on people caught in the act of armed robbery and terrorism without due process of law.But are these people more guilty than our leaders who look the treasury through pen?Certainly not.Statistical reports reveal that colossal sums of money are lost by the country every year due to the evil activitives of men and women who engage in bribery, terrorism and
corruption.People who choose to stand in the way of these men and women loose their lives in the hands of assassins and terrorist.
Young and innovation university graduates who have no money to bribe so as to get employed resort unwilfully to armed robbery and terrorist which is against the law.Dose this, instance not indicate that bribery and corruption are what give rise to conditions which lead people into armed robery?Like the proverb which says that a fish starts decaying from the head,so also the decay caused by bribery and corruption beging from the head and spread through the who cadre of our society which create a good environment for armed robbers and terrorist to operate.
If we take a look down the road ,we see
policemen flagging down motorists and sometimes terrorist in possesion fire arms. One would expect that the police should arrest such people but the reverse is the case. But because of the quest for easy money in our society these days, the policemen will let them go after collecting a few money from them.
Moreso, the policemen having taken bribe from armed robbers allow the nefarious activities of these evil mwn to continue uncurtailed.Even in some cases, they supply them with the ammunitions they need to carry out their evil operations. Is this not enough to show that indeed it is the tide of bribery and corruption that needs to be stemmed in order to eradicate armed robbery and terrorism in the states.
The judges in our court of law who should be above all else, incorruptible, have been bought over into the ship of corruption. For instance,an armed robbery case was broyght before a judge but because the judge had been offered a few dollas of money by an influentoal figure whose image would be tainted should investigations be carried out,he cjudged in favour of the armed robbery suspect without proving his innocence
