The Bible Study of The Gospel Of Matthew Continued

Article Summary by: BethanySarah

Original Author: Bethany S. Heard
STUDY TWENTY-ONE:
The devil then took the Son of the Lord to a high mountain, a vantage point from which to see all
the worldly territory and diversity of resource that could be His, if He relented to the devil. Jesus rebuffed his efforts, rebuked his attempts, and told him to get lost, for He has only one Father, to whom He will be true, and to Him, His father will stay true… There is only the rewards of one Father Jesus craved, and we should crave, that Father being our Lord, the one who will not deplete, use, and manipulate us for His own good, only, if ever, for our own… His hands of manipulation are the only ones in which we can truly and absolutely trust, regards our safety and betterment. By His understanding of the words of His father, the Son was then truly saved by the angels. Satan offered Jesus the world, but Jesus did not want the world, only His own world, and He trusted the Lord to build that for Him, no one else, not even Himself… John 5:19b confirms this… Allow yourself to be a channel for the Lord, and His will, for he worketh for you, and with you, and through you… Is basically what it says. Without the Lord in our lives, we cannot claim to be definitely doing that for which we are meant, because that only occurs when He is allowed inside us, taking the reigns, to prevent anyone else from taking them… The condition the devil held up to Jesus was an impossibility for Him, because He knew the Lord’s true will and meaning, His intentions, and thinking, when bringing His Son to this world, and, having already surrendered to the greater knowledge of His father, Jesus, being a true man of faith and trust in His Father, could not deny Him His wishes…
DAY TWENTY-TWO:
When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, He made His move to go to Galilee… He went to Capernaum, on the sea coast, and the borders of Zebulon, and Nephthalim. Matthew knew this plan had been spoken of by the prophet, Esaias, (Isaiah) and so, he, being a man of Faith, knew it to be prophesied truth, and part of the Lord’s plan. The people of Nephthalim (‘Nephalti’) & Zebulon, who heard the prophecy of Esaias/Isaiah, they were in the gutter of (a) depression, but the word of the Lord conveyed to them brought them each and all great Light, and hope… From dwelling in the darkness, they were brought out into Light, and Jesus, who fulfilled both prophecy and duty by going to live among them, He went there, so that this might be the outcome. He went to be their messenger of Light and Hope and true Faith… Matthew knew it important to give the readers’ of his gospel good news, proof of prophecy coming true, so that we may take the word of the Lord as truth, and live our lives accordingly…
