Bible Study of the Letters & Gospel of John

Article Summary by: BethanySarah

Original Author: Bethany S. Heard
In his first letter, John proclaims, at the very beginning, that we would not be here at all without God, that the only things
true are those He gave us, and, by true, John does not mean real, but ethereal, the truest form of true!!! From God. From Him, we came: By His grace, we were allowed existence. We owe Him our lives. We owe Him LOYALTY… John knew this from faith. Faith in the Lord… John knew this because John believed God when He spoke to John. He trusted his Father, that the Word was with Him, because he believed in, and, had faith in, our Lord… Man appeared, because God created Man. The Light was given to Man, and the Light proclaimed that it was Life, because it was part of God, and of the Word’s fulfilment… And our Life from the Light, the thing that makes us Living is God. (is JESUS!!!) The Light came to us, and we were given Life. From the Light came our Life… Without it, we would not have Life, so why do we insist on not having it in our Live(s’)..? For that is quite another matter!!! John’s fellowship with the Light, with US, (and as should ours be…) is that he knows, understands, believes, accepts that ‘without it, there was not anything made that was made…’ (it being part of the Trinity, and the Trinity being God…)… Made, as opposed to made - The difference between Real and TRUE, Real and ETHEREAL… It is far more REAL that what convolutes our Reality… John wrote to tell the world this, John wrote because it was his job, his duty, what had been asked of him by the Lord… OUR Lord.
John described JESUS as being of His Father, just like the rest of us. Jesus is of the Lord, we are of the Lord… We are of the same family! Why then, do we have any real reason not to accept Him??? John includes himself in all this – He came from God, too. We all did… Why then, should we have any true reason not to believe him as well..?? There is none. No true reason not to believe him… IF we take the leap of Faith in believing the Bible, and all its sources, are, like God, TRUE, and REAL… This belief makes John’s words/word relevant. He is the source of these words, and his source was the Lord… Our Father.
DAY 2:
John told the world the truth, that God is always there, but that we, often, do not believe that, or in Him… We are too clouded and shrowded by being only human, and by everything that leaves us vulnerable to. John said that we often lie, that we misinterpret, and that we misrepresent, allowing ourselves to be swallowed by the darkness, never truly having seen the One, True, and Original, Light… When we walk in the Light, we are protected. When we walk in the Light, we see clearly… If we claim to be without sin, we are lying, and are exposed for what we are, to those that walk in the Light, by the Light itself… When we confess our sins, we are unburdened. When we confess our sins, we receive help… Not immediate always, and not always in somehow that we can comprehend, but we know comfort, for we know Our Father to be with us… We may still be frightened by everything, especially that outside the realm of the Light (if we have our senses about us, through His grace)… But, if we just trust, things have a way of working out, and until, and even when, they do, we have a companion in the Light… If we claim we haven’t sinned, we ignore, and are ignored – because that is the way of things. If we claim we haven’t sinned, we exist alone. When John says that God is light, he tells us that God is the key to the Light, that the Light is the Holy spirit, illuminating all in its Glory and shining so brightly that it shows everything up for what it truly is… God is our key, as is His Son, to having this protection/companionship/clarity at one’s side… This can Save us as human beings – It can provide for us, care for us, aid us, cradle us, nurture us, warm to us, and make the rest of the world do the same… It can Save our skins, but it can also, (priority) Save our souls. What we say is in our minds, what we dois in our hearts, so we had better make sure that both speak for the welfare of our souls’…
