DAY SIX:
We must not assume that we can decide what God’s Creation can be used for/or meant for… We must not become
distracted. We must always remember our place in the scheme of things… Remember your place, and conduct yourself with (His) grace..! This way, the Lord can truly look after us, because we are less likely to stray into a place where He cannot reach our hearts, and cannot completely loosen the grip of the devil, to whom we might otherwise, unwittingly, give ourselves over as a play thing… Arrogance, ignorance, and stubbornness, all these things will allow a zeal other than God’s to consume us, and when we are Judged, His zeal will not Save us, but His disappointment will fill our hearts’. If we renounce our independence, the thing that makes us exhibit all these misguided tendencies and attributes, the Father and Holy
Spirit’s zeal will surround us, protect us, because we have looked to the true Saviour, Christ. Our Father gave us free will so that we could turn to Him, and share in His victory over the devil, but free will is also a beloved ’lacky’ of the devil himself, and it is dangerous in the wrong hands – That is why we MUST turn to our Heavenly Father! We will live forever, in His Kingdom, if we turn to our Father through His Son, but the devil will also live forever, so, if we don’t turn to our Father for mercy, we shall find none from His counterpart, and we shall forever be manipulated, at risk, of him… John thinks we are a world, God’s world, and he sees, because he believes, the spiritual/Spiritual implications and ramifications of everything we do as a world. God’s world is his Creation. It is His gift. In all it’s perfect form, it is what we shall return to, a Paradise, in His Kingdom, Heaven… But our world, the world in which John lived, and we live, is far from God’s world, and blinded to John’s. It is tainted, decayed through neglect, strained because of abuse… It is the perfect breeding ground for the devil and his evils… But looking to our Father, receiving Salvation from the Son, and strength from the shared Holy Spirit, we can be God’s people in the wilderness, and KNOW that we have our ticket home to the safe-house, His haven, our retirement home, Heaven…
DAY SEVEN:
Jesus was in Jerusalem, near the festival of Passover, and He was confronted with the biggest manifestation of everything that affronts His father : The
temple there. Large in construction and corruption, it embodied materialism. It was infested, this temple, with bodies who were temples holding sin as their greatest attraction. The people inside the temple held great doubt in their hearts, but John’s writing clarifies that Jesus spoke of the temple-body, when He said He would rebuild it (ours, His, theirs…)… He was using this actual temple metaphorically, to show the Might of the Holy Spirit’s capabilities… The people in that temple that day were liars; believing and living an ungodly life, convincing themselves that they were doing everything to play into God’s hands, as they saw fit, but they were really playing into the hands of a fellow Antichrist, the devil… They, and he, were doing everything against Christ. The link of Father and Son, who came to deter them (us) from this manner of existence, is the Holy Spirit. Both are one because of the Holy Spirit which Birthed them, made Them, and all They are, possible… Gives us our Strength, and true empowerment. John depicts and describes an antichrist through showing us desertion, chaos, and a lonely, desperate existence; with everyone clamouring to win-out, to prove themselves, to be healed, and cured, and exalted… Jesus is IMPORTANT in the middle of all this, because He walks amongst all this, is witness to it, is pained by it, but still, He makes the effort, struggles to be heard, strives to Teach… He knows that He anoints each of us, if only He reaches us, and anointing is Salvation… He yearns to Save us all. It has always been His driving-force…
