John gifts us with genuine words of
true encouragement, support, inspiration. His readers, those that are believers, are
of God!!! They are fuelled by the Holy Spirit, and the LOVE of their Father – Held up to Him by the stronger arms of their big brother, Jesus - He whom, like all brothers should, does and will steer us in the RIGHT direction, instil in us TRUE WISDOM… To be lifted up by our Brother, we have to acknowledge that He IS there, we have to WANT His help, we have to EMBRACE Him in love, and rid ourselves of resentment toward His ways – We have to relent and relax into His arms! Others speak of alternatives. Others talk of they
know not what!!! – Others are arrogant in the assumptions they allow for! Others resent Jesus and His Father…
People who respond to John (the Lord’s loyal servant) are those who hear the Lord calling out to them, and OBEY Him… These people KNOW the Lord!!! They are of Him. They belong to His family, are reborn in their acknowledgement and willingness. These people recognise anti-Christs’ for what they actually are. They know where anti-Christs’ originate from, whom anti-Christs; have let have them. People of God are untouchable by anti-Christs’. This, however, does not mean that attempts won’t be made. It just means that if their whole self is in possession of God, they can withstand those attempts! A person’s response will tell us, if we are TRULY of God ourselves, whom they now belong to – Jesus or the devil, God or His combatant..??? John makes this a no-grey-areas issue by laying down the law for those who want to hear it, by speaking the truth for the sakes of those who will listen..!!! No time is too late, until the Lord has finally let the devil have you!!! Just take a leap of faith to believe that, and do not let pride get in your way, because you will have forgotten it entirely when the other one carries you away…
