STUDY SEVENTEEN:
John exhorts us to let God love us first, before (and then) we learn how to properly love Him… John
keens us to let ourselves be found, to seek God, and to know Him. Then, we will truly love, because He is of the purest love. He made His world and His Son of such pure love, and gave ALL away to us… Is He an overbearing overseer?? – No. He’s a very tolerant boss! We abuse His patience and kind nature. Half the world does not even know He’s the man in charge! He’s faceless, and only exists on paper… Can this be true love that we show Him?? Nah-uh..! We only uncover that when we Know Him!!! Introduce yourself to the Boss – He will give you a raise – One that pays for a ticket to Paradise, an out of this world holiday resort that’s never going to be in threat of (closure, or) coming to an end all too soon!!! The fruits of Heaven are plentiful and delicious!! – Gorge yourself on holiday treats forevermore!! Our expressing of love reveals to us that we may have been afraid to climb those heady steps to the top office, but we find that the Boss isn’t so bad – It was worth the tedious travel to the stairwell, a well-spent journey! - He knows our name, and, miraculously, is there, hearing our needs… He has provided a care plan for us, we may rest assured. He intends to prove it, opens up (his heart genuinely) to show us how this WILL be done! – We can trust Him! It will work out before work is out, because we have been a loyal worker, and so is He! That love is SO important in Christian life because it makes us feel valued, and see our value. It is the oil in the machine that goes clockwise, in a certain circle, which always leads to God - To Jesus, our starting point. The Holy Spirit is the oil. All we have to do is step into the mechanism, the body of workers that is God’s… True love, physically, in every which way that is, literally, vital to life, keeps everything in working order… True love takes the strain for those involved, compensates, accompanies, and relieves, all of the body – Love, at its truest, in every form, is that very process – Physical, sexual, emotional, mental – It’s all fundamental, vital, supporting, a need we all crave! – Each kind is a necessity – Each form (of love), unadulterated, exudes
compassion, at the heart of which burns brightly and, with the
right help, (and the right partnership!) lastingly, PASSION!!! …
Passionate love exudes compassion and comfort. Compassion exudes passionate love, and brings comfort. God made love, too! He created life. He MADE love passionately… And, y’know another thing, (?) He hasn’t given it up!! – He’s old and wise enough to know it keeps Him young enough to be Eternal!!! - Love and passion is He!!! All this Love and Passion, no more why do I always pick ‘em..?? – That sounds a bloody glorious idea to me, and I bet it sounds ruddy wonderful to you, too..!!! It’s right up everybody’s street..! – One direction, UP..!! Rare, marvellous, and precious – Don’t be a fool and ignore it!! Guaranteed!!! – It’s there, at the top of your street, if you walk it!
