STUDY EIGHTEEN:
John says we must always try harder to
love one another – it will bring us closer to God, and if we do not try, we deny Him. He no longer
lives in our lives. This is so because the essence of God is love… Not to say that love is a substitute for God, but that God IS love. He created because of it, through it, with the grace of it, and He is made of it. Love comes from Him, & He from love – But this is no surface love – No quick glance, hastened love. Real, true love requires God, and God requires a commitment! Loving one another shows that we have made that commitment to God, that He is with us! It also shows that we have let ourselves be affected by Him – That He paints us from moment to moment, leaving an indelible mark, and that our mark is indelible because of Him… Allowing God to paint us, to raise us up, and create us from naked, is intimacy… Surrendering to it (and all this!) is achieving it. John testified to all of this. He testified to the LOVE of God, the God of TRUE love…If we follow John and believe in Jesus, absolutely believe, in the Christian, rather than
Christian sense, then God’s path is clear – He can reach us, AND He can become more effective in helping us. Believing in Jesus
means acknowledging the existence of God, and believing in God, means€KNOWLEDGING Jesus, bowing down respectfully to and honouring His achievements. Loving Him for who He is, and what He did for us! Jesus was born for us, and began working for us from the minute He was old enough. He ministered to our needs and hearts. He lived His whole life, furthering us, and died for us so that our Holy furtherance has no end… He then rose (again) to
life for us, to show us that it can be done!!! God
gave us, (and continues to put His son up on offer to us…) Jesus, as our greatest resource. The example of pure GOOD, the bread to eat to taste NEW life, and build our Eternal one… God gave us the world, a HUGE
resource storage unit!!! He gave us the Bible, our reference resource. We have all these things to help us, to sit up, take note of, and drink heartily from – If you like ‘spirits’ – drink from God’s – It’s the best in stock, and will never be out of stock!! Heed these things every day, in every way, and your potential will be reached by God..!
