Hello and welcome back to the quote of the day series. After an extended period of absence Quote of the Day is back with a
vengeance! Today's quote has a lot to do do with playing fair and why it's so important in our daily lives. And now for our quote:
The trouble with the rat race is that even if you win, you're still a rat.
-Lily Tomlin (1939-not dead yet)
This quote is very important for those of you who believe in the age-old addage, "The ends justify the means." Let me start out by saying something very important-that is
not true. If we sink to the levels of our adversaries in order to defeat them, than all you've really done is given your enemies the advantage, because, after all, who knows how to win on their level better than them? Life is almost like a chess game-when you do have to face adversity, the only way you'll win is through the use of your brain. Life in 98% mental. Therefore in life, one must remember that the only way to really accomplish anything is throught the use of your
brain. The brain is a truly powerful tool, and, unfortunately, weapon, and if you know how to use it, than it will save you more times than any bodyguard. The force of he mind is the one force in life that remains constant and undefeated.
There is no force on earth quote so strong as the human mind. So please, for the sake of theat mind, do not pollute it with thoughts of evil or harm. The ends do
not justify the means. In fact, if you do have adversaries who fight on a lower level than that of yourself, you should take heart in the fact that you are the better man (or woman) and that should do nothing more than strengthen your resolve. Take heart in this fact-inherent good will always prevail over inherent evil, so as long as you keep fighting, you will eventually win.
Well, that's been another lovely quote of the day and I hope to see you all tomorrow. No, really, I'll be there.
