Here are my African brothers and sisters who are lost to the world. Asked them who they are? Asked them where they come from?
And from their answers you can realize that they are a lost generation. I went to town the other day and I saw them walking and hear them talking. When they talk they use a certain language and accent which is not African; they imitate Americans. When they greet they say “What’s up” sometimes “My nigger”!. They use slang and swear words without any resentment. They sometimes call each other “mother f…rs” or niggers” Oh what happen to our brothers and sisters. Listen at the music they play; they call it Hip hop or rap. If you listen carefully you’ll realize that this music is American and is full of swear words, slang and filthy words. They think they have a style and are part of the new generation, but they are corrupted by a bad culture, which has made them forget where they come from. I was in a school one day and I was annoyed when almost every child would sing songs from American R & B these children have been led astray. They disregard their own country music but embrace foreign music. What is it with America that they are able to influence such a vast number of young
people? I’ve notice also in some of the TV shows where young people are asked to imitate their favourite artists almost 98% of those youth will imitate an American artist. Our media are partly to blame for this fiasco especially Radio and TV they always show or play American music more than our own African music. Our youth are being misled and soon we will loose our cultures. Most of our youth know little about their own culture, which is supposed, to give them background, identity and nationality. Our youth are very much lost
today because they follow other nations ways. Almost most of us have been influenced by the culture of the white people. There are many instances where you can tell that we have been influenced. Today African believes that a white marriage is the best but I don’t think so. White marriage is a waste of money and it put lot of young couple in dept at the beginning of their marriages. You can say we have been white washed not to believe in our customs any more. Today we believe that for people to manage their monies they need to put it in a financial institutions which take a big chunk of our monies. What happen to our forefathers who were rich and had no institution to put their monies into. They manage their monies very well.
