John Lennon once said "Before Elvis, there was nothing", but Elvis Presley's ascendance to superstardom in the mid-1950s kicked off a musical and social revolution. That revolution impact has yet to abate. After the pretty young man from Tupelo, Mississippi was discovered by Sun Records, he was taken under the producer Sam Philips wing, leading him to record his first single, "That's All Right (Mama)".That was the beginning of a new era in the history of music. The next years turned Elvis to a living legend when he conquered the pop charts, the box office, and beyond. When he became a superstar he got the nickname "The King", and his blend of country, pop, and R&B became the cornerstone of rock & roll.On August 16, 1977 Elvis was found in his Graceland mansion in Memphis. The doctors declared that he died of a cardiac arrhythmia apparently from a large amount of drugs that he took.Until our days many fans thinks that Elvis is still alive, that he is hiding for mysterious reasons.
