Hillary Clinton declared her intention to run for U.S President, recently, thereby appealing to female voters. Barack Obama
appeals to blacks, Richardson to Hispanics, Guiliani
appeals to 9/11 heroism and McCain appeals to the veteran and military vote. They all miss the point – the next U.S. President must
appeal to all voters, thereby uniting Democrats and Republicans and all sections of U.S. society. Clinton and Obama will spend the next 18 months electioneering and neglecting their Senate responsibilities. New York needs committed representatives. The U.S. was not ready for Geraldine Ferraro in 1986, now it seems a woman President and a black Vice President may appeal to the electorate, this is the compromise solution no one is considering. The tremendous talent in the United States should not be limited to Bush Senior, Mr Clinton, Bush Junior and Mrs Clinton. The United States must regain its rightful status in the world and concentrate on domestic policy to support the U.S. Dollar which has been weakening internationally. 2008 heralds a new U.S. President who must not inherit the failings of the present administration, but must deal with new challenges without controversy.
