Corruption needs to be tackled first at the politicalleadership level so that they can work really for the benefit of the masses. Ifyou want a competent person to head a company, you have to pay handsomely like10 million rupees per anum of course with stiff targets as his key resultareas. The corporate success in Indiacan be attributed to the ability of the companies to attract the right talentwith proper incentives. Similarly we can introduce a handsome pay packet forour politicians so that the right talent gets attracted to all importancepolitical governance of the country. You need a 1000 Dr Man Mohan Singhs toimprove the lot of people on the whole. I propose the following pay packet for those involved ingoverning the country so that the right talent flows to that all importantfields and corruption declines.1. ForMLAs of the State Legislatures: Rs10 million per month as remuneration2. ForMPs of the Parliament Rs20 Million per month as remuneration3. ForMinisters at Central level ranging between 30 to 50 million rupees per month4. ForPrime Minister Rs50million rupees per month5. Forministers in the States ranging between Rs30 million to 40 million per month.This way we can remove the cause for the corruption amongthe political governing class to a large extent and make them liable for theiractions. Like Corporate Heads, each person in Political Governanceought to give targets or annual performance reports based on a PUBLIC AGREEMENTon his/her commitments and time frames. Such agreement should be open toscrutiny by courts or persons of eminence for monitoring the performance. Thosewho fail to deliver must be sacked.This way governance will attract the right talent and onlycompetent people will enter the political governance arena.Such a system alone can convert the mirage that we arechasing.
