Respect, which has been described in different ways in different religious books, has the intrigic value in itself. It is
conveyed in
different manners in different religions. But the meaning in common is 'the total self-submission in a positive way'. It has a magical power of expressing one's well and positive wish towards others. Respect has a spiritual impact which convinces and communicates one soul to another. According to Hindu belief, God is present in each and every living being of the world. Therefore, to respect a living being is equal to respect the God. According to Budhism, peace can be achieved through proper respect to all. Hence, terrorism or abeting terrorism is bitterly condemned by Budhism. Lord Budha has taught how not to harm anybody or create fear amongst living beings. Moreover, Lord Budha has depicted how to respect father, mother, brothers and sisters in a family in order to strongly bind them into one. If all family members respect each other in a proper way, the family itself is respected by the society. Proper behaviour of a family member developes the sence of duties towards other members within himself. The thinking of all family members becomes positive and creates
confidence amongst themselves. This creates an atmosphere of full confidence in each and every family member. This confidence brings peace to the family as a whole. The same thing has been depicted in Ramayan also.
Similarly, respect has immence impact in social life. An individual from a respected family is always trust-worthy and respected by the entire society. What is more important is self-respect which comes only from the'Sanskar' of the family. The day to day behaviour of family members towards their children teaches them how to respect themselves. The respect one's self developes a positive sence in mind. It further developes self-confidence which paves the paths of achievements throughout the life.
