What is it about the color of skin that separates us from one another? This has been a question I've asked myself for ever. My name is Ryan Elliott. I'm 18 years old and I studyseveral differentcultures and languages all over the world. In my studies, I've learned that in every country, in every race of people there is alway another of whom they are racist to. In america there is a growing population of hispanic people in the country. This causes American to be racist toward them due to the fact that they are taking some of the American jobs. In Africa, it is a civil war between every part of the continent. France does not get along with England, China does not get along with America however we share trading rights and profit off of each other. What is it about these countries that make them racist toward others. This question I first asked myself when I went to Palestine to visit a friend for her wedding. I've studied Arabic culture, religin, and the language for over a year, and I fell in love with it. I learned that Islam is really a peace based religin and a beautiful nation. However when I arrived I was illtreated being an american. They told me that I was arrogant, that american are arrogant that they believe that they live in the greatest country in the world. However many countries believe the same thing. Belive it or not in just about every country of the world, the people dislike Americans because they believe that we step in every situation of the world when we should just keep our big noses out of other countries business. Another thing that gets me is when Americans expect all foreigners to speak English when they move or visit the country however when we travel we don't speak a word of their languages. Most foreigners know this and they believe that we are Hippocrits because of it. So what do you think. If you have any thought or questions you can e-mail me. firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for taking the time to read this and try to think about it. If people begin to realize this then maybe we can change and start to get along with everyone else. And eventually we could stop war forever, and coexist. Coexist in different country, culture, religion, whatever... But coexist in peace.
