Feasibility of vote
banks has never been a question. If we are trying to find answers to problems, our country is facing - It seems to be a wrong question? All
political parties have been using all types of vote banks-then why this question? It seems, Hindus have not behaved same way together as others did, most of the times. So the need is felt. For what? Remains a question? Reaction to Muslim vote bank politics ?. So examining the
feasibility seems motivated, probably to achieve an objective politically. The objective, sounds dividing the society as has been happening time and again and used as a tool by all political parties. So a game of mathematics than a rational exercise played by Community and Political leaders to achieve their objective. Desperation at the levels of strategists is painfull, though phenomenal growth of Hindu thought, way of life, culture has been experienced during last decade. The credit for upsurge goes to many organizations and individuals. But what happens suddenly or before elections that need for such debates, arousal of divisive feelings is generated. Reactions or trouble can unite us all for some time. But living in atmosphere of hatred, mutual distrust delays the process of being together. Political maturity has always helped this society to carry on with trust. Wheresoever and whenever, they behaved as community saviors only, they might have gained power, but at the cost of mutual trust and relationship. Wonderfully the message of love and amity by most of spiritual and religious Gurus, governing the thought processes has gone very well. There should not be any need to translate their following to votes. Awareness is building. Masses do understand the mechanism of race, caste, and color creed politics. And they are withdrawing themselves from dirty politics and tactics Politicians play; favor the ones who are in the middle. The principle remains. Congress or any other-here or there is or remained a winner because it manipulated using all vote bank cards. Some how –was branded as party of masses. Whenever they did extreme mistakes favoring other, they lost support of one and won the other. So this exercise of fooling around at the cost of Nation continues. Question of feasibility of Hindus vote bank may be wishful thinking to resolve most of the problems-Indian Nation is facing. But is definitely not a right answer. ashwani
