The blind people had been always a favored group, in comparison with other categories of deficient, despite let us can think freqüuentemente about them as being a group of people desprivilegiado in relation to the said people normal. In Brazil, the picture is more or less the same when we think about the historical evolution of the attendance the carrying people of visual deficiency. Thus, we can observe that it has them frequently been granted right and privileges special. Although, by times, the blindness, as other capacities, was considered a curse of deuses, prophet or adivinhos. Frequently they were educated, respected e, many times, had become poets and transmitters of verbal traditions.
