APEX – MINDED BEINGS!!!
Apex-minded beings are those top-minded people who are ready to swim oceans not rivers. They are those that don’t see the sky as their limit but stepping stone. They are wide readers, front runner’s difference makers and prime movers in their areas of specialization. How can we be apex- minded? No one was born great and nobody came into this world as an icon of hope. Being top-minded or a great thinker is a hidden potentiality that must be dug out from our subconscious minds.
Based on my meticulous observations, those who made it them were wide readers. “Read borad or wide” was their slogan, their best companion was food for the mind (Books), and their friends house were in the delivery room for the birth of ideas (library)-biographies of successful heroes are where history comes to life. Through reading such materials, one would be inspired to move on inspite of all odds. Reading novel is another brainchild. Through novel, we can read stories about determination and perseverance; which must be utilized for a brighter future. It is very painful to state that reading newspapers and magazines to some undergraduate are nothing but outdated exercises that are meant for old people – TOO DISHEARTENING! Being a good student of vocabulary can only be achieved through reading newspapers, magazines, inspirational books, novel e.t.c. where new words are noted since vocabulary increases one’s intelligent quotient (1Q).
The international network of inter connected computers simply known as internet is increasingly becoming an esoteric. Computer age, they say, has no room for ignorant. Those who cannot even shutdown computers or does not even have e-mails do not know that such sincere ignorance is a potential factor that discourages many from knowing that intercourse with superior minds, can also be achieved through meaningful internet surfing or browsing- watching good programmes on television or listening to radio programmes are other areas that cannot be over-emphasized. Youths of today spend greater part of the day watching girlie (pornography), or reading erotic magazines without being bothered at any point in time to know the happenings or events in the country in particular or the world at large.
In conclusion, participating in seminars, workshops or symposia are ways through which experience can be garnered. Listening to people is another way of building our minds, most of the great thinkers of historical repute were good listeners! Through paying attention to peoples problems, we can in turn learn from their mistakes and failures. Make it a point to listen to motivational cassette recordings, REMAIN BLESSED!
