ALCOHOL-deadly habit

Article Summary by: TONY DE ORATOR

Original Author: tony de orator
There is a saying that: the history of alcohol is the history
of civilization. Man, right from the outset of this
existential battle
had resorted to alcohol for comfort when he is sad and miserable, and
to thrill him, when there is enjoyment and pleasure. A short history
of alcohol shows that Europeans actually carried out the chemical
separation of alcohol in the 20th century. Muslims alchemists of the
east were the first to practice distillation. Just like our local palm
wine is gotten from palm tree, so also other people around the globe
get their alcohol from other sources like: gapes, millet seeds; maize,
sugar-cane, oats, barley et cetera. Alcoholism which is simple an
addiction to alcohol has eaten deeply into the moral fibre of our
youths and left us with lost of sense of moral judgment and precision!
Effect of alcohol is overwhelming. It reduces mental and physical
efficiency damages the liver, produces protruding of stomach as well
as weakness, loss of appetite and increase in the secretion of acid in
the stomach and ulcer patients hardly recover from the sickness.
Sexually, it provokes the desire, says William Shakespeare, but takes
away the performance. In social functions, such person can easily be
cajoled by alcohol to “let cat out of the bag”. Drivers and students
who are heavy drinkers may lack clearness of vision or have inability
to smell or hear. In families, an alcoholic can also be easily be
beaten by his angry wife and children and a progressively
deterioration man slowly emerges; just because of excess intake of
alcohol!
In conclusion, those who seek happiness under the influence of
alcohol should know that after the effect, their problems would still
remain unsolved.
