HOPE I
I see when our governmental set-ups would be free of biblical
Nebuchadnezzar who have insulted, destroyed
and burnt alive our
children’s future and gone ahead to the extreme points of referring to
our people as subjects-forgetting that in democracy like ours, people
are the masters and the leaders servants;
HOPE II
When our people abroad would proudly show their international
passports in foreign emphasis without shame and regret. And youths
would no longer see going outside the county as a blessing but just
for exposure and experience which they would accumulate to help our
nation.
HOPE III
When our legal would pass judgment without any iota of godfatherism,
tribalism or nepotism. And also make past military dictators face
punitive and Herculean punishment for atrocities they committed-never
allowing any former heads of states come back to power;
HOPE IV
I see when Islamic and Christian brothers would shake hands, eat from
the same bowl and embrace themselves in social functions without
grudges or hatred and live by their religious principles which
advocate peace, love, harmony, unity, et cetera;
HOPE V
When our tertiary institutions would no longer pack four hundred (400)
students in a classroom meant for one hundred (100) students, when
they would no more set exams for them, secretly disclose answers for
them with thousands of naira, go back to their offices and cancel the
entire exams;
HOPE VI
I see, when our police men and women would stop collecting money from
hardened criminals, brutalize innocent citizens, rape our daughters in
prison yards, work for opportunists and political matadors. But to
serve and protect with integrity;
HOPE VII
Yes, I see when our youths would have the boldness of saying no to
thuggery but rather ask corrupt politicians to invite their children
overseas to perpetrate such madness, and our elections free and fair
for good and God fearing leaders!
HOPE VIII
When our students would be studious and avoid exam malpractice which
has bastardized our education system and left us with moral decay and
products of half-baked graduates.
HOPE IX
I see when higher attention would be given to agricultural sector and
we would have adequate food for the downtrodden masses-for democracy
means nothing for a common man without food.
HOPE X
When our parents would imbibe moral consciousness in their children
and not buy certificates for them but capitalize in upgrading their
moral upbringing for their brighter future.
HOPE XI
My people, I see hope: when our grandmothers and grandfathers would no
longer allow political conspirators to insult their old age and gray
hair by giving them food items to sing praises for them during
elections.
HOPE XII
When my country would not more be giant based on diseases, hunger,
violence, corruption, bribery, economic impasse et cetera. But for
morality, good health, peace, employment opportunities, social
amenities et cetera. MAY GOD HELP NIGERIANS TO HELP NIGERIA! ... AMEN!
