In Kolkata,India a recent relese by the Police Dept. reveals that
male commit
sucide more in number than women do .In 2004 ,513
people committed sucide & among them 375 where male and 138 were female.It means 74% male committed
suicide and 26% women.In 2005 also men outnumbered women whereas suicide commiting is concern.From January to September 149 male commited sucide & only 26 women commited suicide.
Usully in the
month of January people are committing sucide more & in the month of august to september least number of people are committing suicide. Last year in January 55 people committed suicide whereas in the month of august 25 people & in the month of december only 23 people committed suicide.Men prefer to die by hanging themselve whereas women prefer to die by fire, the study shows.Age group who are usully prone to do such activities are ranging from 16 to 40 years.Then above 41 years age group come into the picture.The main reasons for doing these thing are lonlyness,family matter,financial problem and diseases.
Recent economic development in India has changed the way people used to live and
family values.Now there is a growing number of women who are opting for late marriege and maiden life. This is creating a huge pressure in the family life, usully old people in house don't accept this phenomena. This cause lot of tenson in the family.A growing number of women are now becoming financially independent and they are not subscribing to the traditional thinking of men. This cause huge mental & family problem in marital life.The nigh life has also became more colourfull in India ,many female go late night party which there family members are not apporoving,another tension in family life. The parents of female prefar that there daughter should get married early in life, but daughters are prefering late marrieges.Another reason for family rift is the speed at which women developed men where not able to keep the track, this causes huge imbalances in the society.Men need to develop much faster in India in oder to keep pace with women outhere.
