Palm Oil Plantation and The Dayak Peoples Nowadays, billion hectares the land and forest of the Dayak’s native
in Borneo (Kalimantan) have been changed to become a farming of palm oil plantation which is based of the world needs. The need of the oil palm product is increasing by the world market. Many
companies try to plant the plam tree in many
locations of Indonesia which is potential. There are some companies of private’s and government’s. Some of them loan money from the countries in Europea and the World Bank to finace their’s business in investing of palm farming.
Have you known it before that the actions of palm oli plantation farming companies in Kalimantan which is done over of the tears and suffering of Dayak peoples. Billion hectares of the Dayak’s land are taken and stolen by the companies with so many strategics way which is not justice.
Some of peoples of Dayak were got caught and killed with the intelligent secret ways like Adeng case in Jangkang apart of Sanggau regency in West Kalimantan Indonesia who rejected the expansion of palm oil plantation.
Beside it, receiving of the local employers for the administrative and operating was not accomodatively done by the company, while the out side employers from other countries got the good positions trully in the companies.
The system of the farming which was made at the time is 80% for company and just 20% for local peoples, it means the farming is divided between 80:20. This dividing is true not for prosperous of the local peoples.
At 1990-1998, the result of the local farming of the native’s palm farming could reached around of Rp 1 bilion rupiahs per month, but now it is just Rp 250.000,- rupiahs per month in fact lower than it.
Nowadays the trees of plam farming is not realy productive any more, it is caused of the trees in old condition. Replanting is just done for the companies’s locations only while in plasma or peoples farming locations are not. So, where is the concept of capacity building and making of prosperous for the local peoples? The answer is nonsense.
The recommendation is that the local peoples who has the land has to become the owner finance or contributor of the farming companies over their’s land, because they have the land for land clearing.
Do not use the old concept any more with so many tricks, tactics and politics which is proposed to kick down the peoples as an the origin.
