archeological map will be completed within two years,
said head of the
provincial Archeology Research
Center.
Speaking to ISNA, Mohsen Javari added that
archeological maps of the
cities of Samirom, Fereydounshahr and Naein have been drawn up while
preparation of maps for Fereydoun, Chadegan and Ardestan cities is on
this year’s agenda.
Since the State Archeology Research Center is also planning to publish
an archeological map for the entire country, the data and information
compiled at the
provincial level will be made available to the entity,
he said. Putting the budget for the provincial project at almost 120
million rials, Javari further said that so far maps of six cities have
been prepared and the rest will be complete in two years.
Commenting on Ashraf Tappeh (mound) in Isfahan, which dates back to the
Sassanid era (226-650 AD), he said nothing has yet been done on it due
to lack of funds.
Studies on the mound will be undertaken once necessary funds are made available, he concluded.Write your abstract here.
