Palenque is a situated Mayan small farm archaeological next to the river Usumacinta, in the Mexican state of Chiapas, 130 km the south of Ciudad del Carmen. It has many decorative effect not found in any another place. Some of these reasons seem almost Chinese and give to place the imaginative speculation on the Mayan contact with Eastern Asia. That is very improbable, but the visitor is taken to imagine when admiring these wonders of the human device. Cortez passed about 30 miles of the city, and she never knew that she was so close. The first European to visit this place was one monge Spanish in 1773. He wrote a book where he demands to have discovered a forward post of the Atlantis. As the European one to describe the place, a Spanish real employee in 1784, wrote a description that remained lost in the Real Archives during a century. The next one to come, Captain Antonia Del Rio in 1786, wrote a report that was also lost, until unexpectedly a copy was published in 1822. In 1831, the Conde de Waldeck, an inheriting eccentric person of a family who had lived better days, arrived and mounted its Headquarters on of a pyramid that still today is called the “Temple of the Conde”. It passed two years drawing and writing on this place. Its work was minute. The Conde lived until the 109 years. “The Temple of the Registrations” is perhaps the most interesting pyramid-mountain of Palenque, beyond being highest. “Temple of the Registrations”, thus called had to the 617 recorded hieróglifos in its interior. There they are the remaining portions of K'' inich Janaab Pakal, king in whose memory the temple was raised. It lodged cripta of Pará Kal, powerful Mayan priest, discovered in 1952. Cripta was unbroken during a milénio. “The Temple of the Sun “dates of 642. It has one of the roofs better preserved of any Mayan place. The roofs richly had been decorated with false façades that give an idea of largeness to the Mayan buildings. “The Temple of the Jaguar” is perhaps the example most intriguing of similarities with the Asian art. The temple shows a reason type “Cruz Folhada” that is almost identical to the finding in Angkor Wat in Cambodia, and some of low relives have reasons seemed well with the used ones for the Hindu art. The Palenque pyramid-mountain represented the universe and served as media with Beyond. They showed the power of the governing. The sanctuaries were in the superior level and represented the creation of the world, the union of the subterranean with the surface of the land and the sky. In the inferior level, the figureheads of the “Monster of the Land” marked the entrance of the infraworld. The labyrinths in the interior of natural grottos and in the underground of Palenque showed the way to go down to the hell. The king passed for this ritual before being glorified. He searched in the subsoil the secret to assure the cosmic order, and to fight against the chaos.
