This site includes a short biography of Southern poet and writer, Jean Bailey Robor. Born in North Carolina, USA, Jean Bailey Robor has written poetry and prose for over twenty years. Most of the time, she has written for her own enjoyment. However, in the past few years she has begun to publish her works. Her most recent book is The Love Poems, Volume One , available on www.Amazon.com and www.BarnesAndNoble.com. She specializes in magazine articles, particularly informative articles and press releases. She has partnered with renowned author, Tammy Hall Shropshire, and is currently offering proofreading and editing services at www.baileyshropshire.com She has collaborated on a fictional novel as a ghostwriter, a health-based manual as editor, and numerous writing projects. Although her first love is poetry, consisting of both free verse and traditional verse, she is currently writing several novels of her own. One of her favorite poets is Robert Louis Stevenson. Her first memories include being read to by her mother and Stevenson was one of the first poets she discovered. (Along with Dr. Seuss, of course)! Jean Bailey Robor is actively involved in non-profit and volunteer ventures including Toastmasters International, the American Business Women’s Association, The JoyStream, and the Burlington Writers’ Club. Jean Bailey Robor has three children and lives in North Carolina with their favorite furry canine, Maxie.
