law degree in 1981, he practiced both criminal and civil law before being elected to the House of Representatives in Mississippi. His first novel, ‘A Time to Kill,' was published in 198. After Paramount purchased film rights for his second novel, ‘The Firm,' he resigned from his position as a Representative. Today he is known as one of the world's best-selling novelists. His novels
