The
Photo of Vietnamese
children caught on monochrome film in
war time won a Life magazine photo of the year and reminds us all that the horrors of war are destructive especially to the young. The innocent youth should not be
exposed to the bloodshed and mass killings which can ignite traumatic experiences and can affect their psyche in the years of their maturity. Photographs of the casualties of war can document such atrocities that record the terrors of these dehumanizing conflict. Photojournalists are exposed to the risks of molotov bomb explosions and land mines ( where children are acknowledged
worldwide as victims causing media stir on landmine eradication worldwide). Children of the war are but pawns of brutal massacres of the Vietnamese race. As a photographer myself, I realize that captured moments of children screaming, weeping and running for their lives amidst wars are haunting and eerie. Photography and war are a lethal mixture of blood and innocence.
