Having just returned from the University Library where I had been
reviewing my own
manuscript in lieu of my Book Signing
on
7th September at 3 pm. with Ely/Poetry Cafe, Covent Garden,
London, England, I was greatly relieved that I could easily
chart the poems and comments into a fixed routine and
manage to make all the notes in the margin look neat and
tidy.
I arrived back at my flat and to my chagrin I discovered an
email from my publishers in America requesting me to do
a
manuscript commentary for arts funding in England as
my contract has no amendments to it and its primarily
signed, sealed and delivered without any further ado and is
still well and truly preserved in my most glamourous all
leather briefcase. I bow to their
guidance ...
I wondered too about copyright issues as my former
employer mentioned that now that I am an author
on the international scene that I have permission to
work Overseas and in Turkey ... I was so delighted
that I kept the news to myself and its only now with
the Book Signing being a couple of weeks away I
have come to terms with his acceptance ..
Many thanks! Istanbul for the invitation to join
the Authors in Residence in Istanbul, and the sooner
the better ... see you soon.
Its hard to discover that all the work you put in doesnt
really pay up as much as it used to but nevertheless
with the recent interest in my work as an author it
should pay dividends in the long run. I am a far cry
from the lottery winnings in the UK by a Postal worker
quoted as £35 million pounds ... still that''s a stone''s
throw away ...
Excellent work today ... manuscript
