Seems like only yesterday but I was revisiting areas of
performance unknown to mankind in England such as
Performing Arts.
Most people prefer to talk about JK Rowling but being a great performer myself in childhood and student days I chanced upon the notion of a invitation to perform in the genre of Arts.At the Poetry Cafe several years ago I put on my best poetry suit and a new shirt and got a hair cut took my book of poems .... University Writers Club and read my poems at the Poetry Cafe in London for 5 minutes .... I was overjoyed to be invited to do
performance poetry in the arts in London. I had had a few letters fromThe National Theatre about my play and 2 great reviews from RTE and Channel 4 TV so it was not at all an ordeal to get personally involved in the
Performing Arts. My inspiration was a great Performance Poet ... in English ... Roger McGough ... as years ago I attended his event at Winchester about 1981 .... great events breed great performing artists ... keep on performing .... and ask for your due!
