Individual Funding for the Arts

Tend to see the standard parts where those who need money for the
performing arts are always in the business of creating a new view
of old ideas or to put it another way ... how can you do good work
if the State decides you cannot get paid for it because its got to
go through the Channels ... you must write at least six sides
of paper with all the accounting up to date .. the list of venues
and the location you are at the moment and how long it will
take and what ideas you have to move about the country for
about one pound a week from the Arts Council in the South - please include.
Even though one started off in London and everyone in Poetry
these days will tell you ... that''s where its at .. but try as you may to
contact London Arts Funding you will be redirected then relocated
to the South and told to write to Brighton or try Southampton.
You cry out in your frustration ... but everyone in Southampton
said .. London is the only place for Poetry and look for funding
from London.  This last comment drew me to the Mayor of
London Ken Livingstone like a stamp to a letter but even he
said ......... try somebody else ... Livingstone is only
interested in London.
Keep the tape running without interruption and remember
if you can break through to the other side and get individual
funding then you have obviously won the Nobel for Literature ...
its the only way ...... dont give up on funding but keep on trying ....great stuff ... keep on reading and writing literature/poetry!
