There has been many an occasion when I have visited a
library and admired
the complete
collection of
classical literature such as the
works of Dickens.
Where they are is an issue at the moment as I know that the world is full of books and I have had the good fortune to visit and read in many a famous University Library and City
Library and I found myself drawn to the Classical Literature Section.
Oddly enough the Works of Dickens stir the imagination as they are usually leather bound and you must keep sticky or dirty fingers away from them and wait until the children grow older in order to feel touch and read the classical collection of Dickens.
I discovered in several language books stories and questions on the works of Dickens and I was amazed that even today people still find it important and necessary to question and query my views on the classical literature of Dickens. On several
occasions in class I have had to produce
modern British money as an example of what currency is really like in England in a modern context - as some people prefer to believe that England is still ... Dickensian! Great Classical Literature and keep on reading .... excellent material for everyone!
